The committee of Leeds University Amnesty International is delighted to announce that next week will see the much-awaited return of Jamnesty!
We have been working hard behind the scenes to organise our first post-restrictions Jamnesty event and we can't wait to join you all next Wednesday 24th November 2021 at Belgrave for some great music for a great cause.
In line with our focus on homelessness this semester, the event is in aid of the Changing Lives charity. As per their website, Changing Lives work with people who are in crisis or who need support to overcome serious challenges that can limit their opportunities. They help people to develop the skills and self-belief to move past prior experiences, change their story and achieve a better future – for themselves, their families and their communities.
I'm sure you'll agree this is a very worthy cause, and what better way to raise money for them than attending a gig? All you have to do is buy a ticket and enjoy an evening of excellent acts!
We have an amazing lineup joining us on the night: Cathy Kio; Plantfood; Flat Moon; and Joe McKenna.
Members' tickets can be bought from LUU Engage (https://engage.luu.org.uk/event/6RTPX/jamnesty-2021) whilst general sale is available on fixr (https://fixr.co/event/933366657). Members' tickets are priced at £4 and general sale tickets are available for £5 online (plus 65p booking fee) or £6 on the door.
We can't wait to see you all there next Wednesday!
The 2021/22 Leeds Amnesty committee.
