Jamnesty: Artist Spotlights!

Jamnesty is back! This term, our biannual fundraiser is supporting our campaign 'Equality has no Gender', which focuses on women's and trans' rights. All of the money from Jamnesty goes towards Amnesty International and Freedom4Girls, a local charity that tackles period poverty.

We have four amazing acts performing for us at Belgrave Music Hall! It's a live gig that is for a good cause - what's not to love :)

It is on Wednesday, the 23rd of November, and tickets are out! They are £4 on engage for members, and £5 for non-members on fixr. Tickets are also available on the door, but they're more expensive, so get your tickets now!!

Here are spotlights of the different artists, so you guys can see the amazing different acts we have :)

THE SOUND OF MODESTY

Yvonne Han, under the pseudonym The Sound of Modesty, is a singer-songwriter and producer. She is influenced strongly by experimental female artists like Mitski, Björk, and jrock artists like Ling Tosite Sigure and EGOIST. These influences can be seen through her candid lyrics and unique take on indie-rock.

RUSHBONDS

This amazing indie-soul 5 piece translates 5 individual personalities into one, coherent sound. They play original alt-soul and pop music, drawing from a wide pool of influences like moonchild, Tom Misch and Hiatus Kaiyote.

ALLORA

Allora is a harmonic rock band that will appeal to fans of Wolf Alice and Radiohead. This trio of lead singers is a powerhouse with slick riffs, epic harmonies, and sweet rhythms. Their music has been described as 'deceptively simples and yet complex and richly layered' with vocals that are 'scarily powerful'.

RESTLESS YOUTH

Restless Youth are extremely unique band: they make spoken-word jazz/indie/pop/folk music that tells stories of their lives and the beautiful characters they encounter. The music is upbeat, infectious, and lyrical, and it really resonates with you. Added bonus: sometimes at shows they give out wild flower seeds and veg they've grown! :)

Here is a Spotify playlist of their songs to get you ready!! Can't wait to see you there xx
