JAMNESTY 3.0: THE JAMAZON

After the success of our first two Jamnesty's in 2018, we decided it was only right to keep the legacy going and make this one the best yet.

We were lucky enough to have quite the line up this year and raised an incredible £1335 for WWF and Amnesty International in light of the Amazon fires in 2019.

One of our campaigns this year is 'Our Planet Our Rights', and it is very evident that the fires are a direct consequence of Climate Change as well as the beef farming practices that cause so much deforestation. But this is not a one off event, with the Australian forest fires covering a expanse as large as Belgium and turning whole towns to ash.

We understand that having a boogie for a good cause doesn't seem to have a direct impact for the thousands of people who suffered and the irreplaceable land and life lost, but raising money through music is something Leeds does better than most - and Jamnesty 3.0 proved this ten-fold.

As well as selling some of our Limited Edition Amnest-ees we had a donation box where people could take some stickers and badges to show their support for Amnesty everyday. Belgrave was an amazing venue for a night on fun and fundraising - and we promise we'll be back before you know it.
