Carla Torres came to give a packed out talk to inform us about the human rights violations and enforced disappearances in and around Latin America.
The talk was empowering as well as heart wrenching, learning about the various human rights violations taking place in Latin Amercian with no explanation. These include children 'disappearing' and even busses full of students never returning home.
Carla's passion about the topic encouraged a large group of students to fill out the impressive venue and furthermore stay engrossed in the issues we are ignorant to as we are shielded form them by the press.
We would encourage anyone who is interested to look further into Carla's work and teach themselves about the atrocities that go on which organisations like Amnesty try to stop.
